Carbon Removal Needs to Scale 1,000,000x to Matter

Current direct air capture removes ~10,000 tons of CO2 per year. We need to remove 10 billion tons per year by 2050. That's a million-fold scale-up in 25 years.

The math on climate change is brutally clear: even if we stopped all emissions today, we'd still need to remove enormous amounts of CO2 already in the atmosphere.
